Thanks to the trustees (Cathy Widmer, Diane Romaniuk and Wendi Legge) who have finished the audit and given their recommendations. All documents have been sent to National for approval and we will discuss their decision when it’s sent back.

The Executive would like to wish you all a well-deserved and relaxing summer break. Enjoy spending time with you families and friends and recharge for the next year. Hopefully it’s not as chaotic as last year.

Thank you to our Negotiating Committee for all their hard work during this long and stressful negotiation. We appreciate the hard work and time put into this.

Also, thank you for all those who came out and voted today, and to those who stayed for the meeting and brought up concerns and questions. As a Local, this was a hard round but the solidarity and work that everyone put into it was really impressive.

After the votes were counted the new deal was passed by 73%.

We have the hoodie store open for those members who wanted another hoodie, and there are a couple new additions. These hoodies are not being paid for by the union, so it’s up to the members if they want another.
